Welcome to plan A dance
Plan A Dance Inc. is a recreational and competitive dance studio, proudly serving the communities of Bridgewater and Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Founded by Mallory Zwicker in May 2017, our studio is located at 543 Glen Allan Dr., Bridgewater, and offers a wide range of dance classes for children aged 3-18, as well as an adult class for those 19 and up.
In 2018, we expanded our offerings to Liverpool, providing recreational dance classes for young dancers at the Brooklyn Community Hall.
Why “Plan A”?
As a dancer from a small town, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to dream big. Throughout high school, I was often told I needed a “back-up plan” in case my dance career didn’t pan out. Though disheartening, I refused to let those doubts stop me, because I’ve never had a “Plan B.”
At Plan A, we’re passionate about supporting the arts in small communities like Bridgewater and Liverpool. Our mission is to empower our youth, encouraging them to follow their dreams and pursue what they love. You don’t need to travel to the city to chase your passion—at Plan A, you can find the opportunity to dance right here at home.
“Don’t dream it… Plan it.”

Private sessions
Our personalized one-on-one training sessions are designed to help dancers or other athletes unlock their full potential. Guided by certified dance teachers or certified yoga instructors, these sessions are tailored to meet individual goals and needs. This personalized approach not only accelerates skill development but also builds confidence and reduces the risk of injury through proper technique.
Plan. Prepare. Educate.
At Plan A, our team is composed of a small but exceptionally talented group of dancers and instructors, each dedicated to providing a comprehensive and enriching dance education. We offer a wide range of dance styles and techniques, carefully tailored to suit dancers at every stage of their development. From foundational techniques introduced at a young age to advanced techniques for those pursuing dance, we ensure that each dancer receives a well-rounded education that fosters growth.

Competitive programming
Registration for competitive classes requires approval from the director. Our competition TEAMS vary based on age and level may include a Jazz, Lyrical and/or Contemporary piece. We also offer extra competitive classes such as Hiphop and Production. All experienced dancers aged 9+, including those returning from teams the previous season, must attend a competitive placement session in order to be placed on a team. Additionally, they can audition for the Plan A Company. Dancers with no prior competitive experience will have a separate team with no tryouts.
Competition teams follow a rigorous program with high expectations, including home practice, 110% effort in class, and a strict attendance policy. Teams will participate in several mandatory competitions, and costume and competition fees will apply for each class.
The deadline to register and withdraw from competitive classes falls on October 1st every year.
